Mission
It is the mission of Humnz Dance Ensemble to cultivate well trained technical and versatile dancers and prepare students for their next step in dance be it college, company, or commercial work. Beyond dance training, it is our goal to create a positive group environment, teach life skills in how to coexist and work together, and to help students excel in all areas of dance and life.
About Humnz Dance Ensemble
Cheryl Copeland is the artistic director of Humnz Dance Ensemble. She trains company members in ballet, modern, contemporary and improvisation. Students in this company are also exposed to jazz, hip hop, and tap as well as many other forms of dance. Students work with many choreographers all over the United States including Michael Velez, Shelly Masenoir, Jonathan Campbell, and Nick Lazzarini to produce two major concerts per year. The first taking place in late winter, is an evening of shorter length works that the students will also perform at local dance conventions throughout the year. The second concert taking place in late spring, is a full length concert in which the students perform works in length of up to 15 minutes in order to prepare themselves for the concert dance world. Through these processes, students gain knowledge and insight into the real world of dance. In addition to those performances, dancers also perform at many local community events to help nurture the growth of dance within the already existing dance community. Many of the students are training with a goal of pursuing dance in college or in a company.

Mission
Our mission is to provide a safe environment for youth to explore and expand on the fundamentals of tap by incorporating world dance, world music, and world rhythms.
About Youth Tap Ensemble
Tony Merriwether is the artistic director of the Youth Tap Ensemble. The Youth Tap Ensemble will rehearse and train up to 5 hours every week. During this time, they will refine their technique, musicality, improvisational skills and learn the history of "The Dance". The company will be using local competitions and conventions for performance opportunities and critique and will also be collaborating with Humnz Dance Ensemble in their winter and spring shows.
